A pair of replacement seats for the cockpit of a model of the Fouga Magister trainer in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fouga CM.170 Magister is a French jet trainer with a two-seat cockpit, where pupil and instructor sit one behind the other, and with a striking butterfly V-tail. It was one of the most widespread jet trainers of its day and flew with a number of European and non-European air forces, among other things in aerobatic teams. The cockpit is richly glazed along its whole length, so the inside is visible from both sides and the seats are among the first things to catch the eye.
The title gives two pieces, that is, seats for both places of the tandem cockpit. They replace the kit parts with a shape that stands up to a close look and to the view under the glazing. Before buying, compare the dimensions with the parts you have; details on fitting them are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not of polystyrene, and cement for plastic models will not join them; use cyanoacrylate or two-part glue and degrease the mating surfaces before joining. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest flat. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry. Seat the seats into the cockpit while the model is still under construction, before you close the fuselage up. Set the cushion and the backrest apart from the frame in both shade and sheen, and bring out the folds with a dark glaze, so that the cockpit does not read flat under the glazing.
Two seats are supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
