HäT 1:72 French Light Infantry Chasseurs (Command) is a set of thirty-two command figures including a rider and four horses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the HäT brand. The package holds thirty-two figures in seven poses, one of which is mounted, and four horses in one pose to go with it. It is a command group for the French light infantry: officers, standard bearers and drummers, without whom a formation looks incomplete. The plastic is unpainted.
The command group of a battalion had a practical role in the Napoleonic army. The eagle on its staff served as a visible point by which the battalion took its bearings, the drummers set the rhythm of the march and gave signals, and a mounted officer could see further over the heads of the formation than one on foot. With light infantry, which often fought in open order, the signals mattered all the more.
Wash the figures, dry them and spray them with a flexible primer. It pays to give the command figures more time: lace, a sash and a worked-out face make them the focus of the formation. We recommend replacing the flag with a thin foil and painting the pattern onto it. Seat the rider in the saddle only once the horse has been painted. Paint the drums in a contrasting color so that they stand out in the formation.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
