Zvezda French Napoleonic HQ Staff (1:72) is a plastic figure set of the French Napoleonic staff, mounted and on foot, to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic figure set from Zvezda in 1:72 scale presents the French Napoleonic general staff of the early 19th century. The set combines mounted and dismounted figures of commanders, officers and aides in several poses, so that a command post or an elaborate staff scene can be built. It is a plastic kit meant to be assembled and painted.
The imperial staff was the brain of the Napoleonic army: it coordinated the movements of the corps, the orders and the supplies. Its backbone was the famous chief of staff Marshal Berthier, surrounded by aides and liaison riders. The officers wore richly decorated uniforms distinguished by function, which makes these figures a rewarding subject in terms of color. The set matches the appearance of the staff from roughly 1805 to 1814.
Cut the small and sometimes multi-part figures away carefully and clean up the parting lines; glue them with liquid cement for plastic. The decorated uniforms with their braid and epaulettes call for precision, and a primer and painting with a fine brush, glazes and a light wash pay off. Paint the horses in variations of brown tones and add the harness and the shabraques.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
