About product

German 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 Barrel 1:72 - Attack Hobby Kits

This is not a vehicle model but an add-on detail part. It is a turned metal replacement barrel for the German 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 tank gun in 1:72 scale. The metal barrel replaces the plastic part from a kit and offers more accurate geometry, a crisp muzzle and greater durability. It is intended for models of the German Panzer III tank with the short 50 mm gun.

Use

  • A replacement for the plastic barrel of a Panzer III model with the short 50 mm gun
  • A more accurate muzzle and geometry than the series part
  • Greater durability for a thin metal component

Fitting and painting tips

Degrease the metal barrel before painting and go over it with a primer for metal, so that the paint holds. Glue it into the body of the turret with cyanoacrylate glue. The muzzle can be drilled out gently for maximum realism.

Who the part is for

  • Modelers building the Panzer III with the short 50 mm gun in 1:72
  • Anyone after a more accurate metal barrel instead of a plastic one
  • Builders of finely detailed models in a small scale

This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included.
