The 1:72 metal 75 mm Pak39 L/48 barrel for the Hetzer is a precisely turned metal replacement for the plastic barrel from Aber. It is not a model but a refining accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel from Aber in 1:72 scale, intended as a replacement for the plastic barrel on models of the light Hetzer tank destroyer. This is not a vehicle kit but an accurate refining accessory. The machined barrel has a faithful profile, a correctly shaped muzzle brake and a perfectly round cross-section.
The 75 mm Pak39 L/48 was the gun of the light Hetzer tank destroyer (Jagdpanzer 38(t)), built on the proven Czechoslovak chassis. The Hetzer was a compact, low and well-armored machine of the end of the Second World War, valued for its reliability and for decent firepower given its size.
Cut off the plastic barrel and clean up the seat, then glue the metal part in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The metal version also renders the small muzzle brake faithfully, which plastic manages only with difficulty at this scale. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer.
This is a refining accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
