An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern German self-propelled howitzer Panzerhaubitze 2000 (PzH 2000) in 1:72 scale from Meng. This is new tooling that, even at this small scale, offers an elaborate build: a metal barrel, a movable running gear and workable track links that need no gluing. The driver's and crew hatches can be built open or closed. Given the 1:72 scale, the parts are small and delicate, and the build calls for care.
The Panzerhaubitze 2000 is one of the most modern self-propelled howitzers in service today, developed in Germany. It carries a 155 mm cannon with a high rate of fire, a capable fire-control system and heavy armor. Thanks to its long range, rate of fire and ability to land several rounds on a target almost simultaneously, it ranks among the best in the field of artillery and serves in the armies of a number of countries.
We recommend thin liquid cement for plastic; it is best to finish the metal barrel and the workable tracks separately. Assemble and paint the running gear before closing up the hull. Use a quality primer and an airbrush for the modern military shades; a fine wash, or light dust pigments, will finish off the transitions and panel highlighting. Apply the waterslide decals over a smooth, lacquered surface. Handle the small parts in 1:72 scale with care.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
