An etched detail set for the Gloster Meteor FR.9 in 1:72 scale from Eduard. Photo-etch for refining and completing a plastic model of this British jet aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but a photo-etched set of fine metal parts meant to raise the level of detail of a plastic Meteor FR.9 model. The set adds elements that are hard to form in injection-molded plastic and brings the finished model closer to the real thing.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British operational jet fighter and one of the few Allied jet types to see action in the Second World War. The FR.9 version was a fighter-reconnaissance modification with cameras in the nose, used in post-war Royal Air Force service including colonial conflicts.
Separate the parts on a hard surface with a sharp blade and shape the small elements with tweezers or an etch bender. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue applied in the smallest possible amount. Pre-form the part dry and only then glue it. After assembly apply a primer and paint with an airbrush for an even surface.
This is an accessory for plastic models. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
