Eduard 1:72 TBF-1C Avenger – folded wings is a photo-etched set for showing a model of the TBF-1C carrier bomber with its wings folded.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard makes it possible to build a 1:72 model of the American Grumman TBF-1C Avenger carrier-based torpedo bomber with folded wings, the way the machines were stowed on the decks of aircraft carriers. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that changes the look of the wing.
The TBF Avenger had a mechanism that folded the wings back alongside the fuselage to save space on deck. The photo-etched set supplies faithful detail of the hinges, the internal structure and the locks, which let you show the wings convincingly in the folded position, attractive for a diorama and for the display case alike.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend them in a bending tool and attach them with super glue. Folding the wings calls for modifying the plastic parts, so we recommend the set to more experienced modelers. Degrease the metal and treat it with a primer before painting.
This is a modeling accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
