HäT 1:72 Hadendoa Camelry is a set of fifteen figures of Sudanese warriors and camels in two poses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from HäT. The box holds fifteen figures: twelve riders in three poses and three on foot in one pose, with camels in two poses. The figures are unpainted and the riders have to be seated. The set belongs to the Sudanese branch of the range and stands against the British colonial units from the same maker.
The Hadendoa were a tribe from the Sudanese coast of the Red Sea who joined the Mahdist revolt and became famous for their courage at close quarters. British soldiers nicknamed them after their characteristic hair, in a term taken from a poem of the day, and their ability to break a closed British square went down in the history of the colonial wars. The camel served them for movement over long distances, but as a rule they dismounted to fight.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Handle the coat of the camels with a light dun base and a brown glaze, and bring the back out with a dry brush. Keep the clothing in muted white and beige with colored accessories. Pick the characteristic thick hair out with a dark glaze. A base with sand and sparse grass will place the scene in the Sudanese desert at once.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
