A sheet measuring 280 x 180 millimeters, material thickness three millimeters, weight 170 grams. Unlike the outdoor aprons, this subject offers an interior, that is the surface over which a machine moves inside a covered hall. For a modeler it is a welcome change, because a hangar scene makes it possible to show a machine taken apart without having to build the surrounding terrain.
The airfield at Vasylkiv lies south of Kyiv and for long years was home to a tactical aviation brigade equipped with MiG-29 fighters. It was among the targets of the first strikes in February 2022, and so its name reached the news all over the world. The floor of the hall will therefore serve well under models of Ukrainian machines caught during maintenance or while being prepared for flight.
Inside, the equipment that does not stand outdoors makes sense: mobile steps, a maintenance platform, an ammunition trolley, oil drums or a welding set. Lighting from above works well too, creating on the model a soft shadow that follows the shape of the surface. You do not have to build the walls; the print alone gives the scene enough of a lead and the eye fills in the rest.
The equipment of the hall, the machines themselves and figures are not sent with the display base.
