1:72 Hawker Tempest HI-TECH is a kit of the British fighter aircraft supplemented with photo-etched parts in an extended boxing.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Tempest fighter in 1:72 scale, in an extended boxing that adds photo-etched parts to the plastic. Photo-etch usually brings the fine components that plastic cannot capture at this scale, that is the cockpit interior, the belts and small covers.
The Tempest grew out of the earlier Typhoon, on which the thick wing was replaced with a new, considerably thinner one. That improved the behavior at high speed, which had previously limited how the machine could be used. It was powered by the Napier Sabre, an unusual piston design with its cylinders arranged in an H-block and with sleeve valves. The armament consisted of four twenty millimeter wing cannons. Tempests were among the fastest British machines at low altitude and proved themselves intercepting flying bombs and attacking ground targets.
Bend the photo-etched parts over a metal edge and bond them with super glue. Finish the interior before you close the fuselage. With older tooling expect to have to try the parts dry and fill the joints. British schemes have hard edges between the camouflage fields, which come out well with masking. Do not forget the prominent recognition stripes if you are building a machine from the summer of 1944.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
