An injection-molded plastic kit of the anti-tank version of the British fighter Hawker Hurricane in 1:72 scale from the Polish firm Arma Hobby. The set builds on the modern mold of the Hurricane family and in this form represents the Mk.IID tank buster armed with a pair of large-caliber 40 mm cannons in underwing fairings. The package offers several marking options and finely worked out parts, supplemented in this version with printed components.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IID was a special anti-tank conversion of the proven fighter. Instead of the classic wing armament it carried two 40 mm Vickers S cannons under the wings, intended to destroy armored vehicles; only machine guns with incendiary rounds for aiming remained in the wing. These machines proved themselves above all in North Africa against enemy tanks and vehicles.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic, and the printed components rather with super glue. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage and mask the glazing. The underwing fairings with the cannons are a striking dominant feature of the model, so give them your attention. We recommend a primer, an airbrush and desert camouflage supplemented with the weathering of dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
