The fourth part of the Indochina series from Star Decals in 1:72 scale. A sheet of water-lifted decals with the markings of the French M5A1 Stuart light tanks, both with the early and with the late turret. It is not a kit but sheets of markings for finished models.
The M5A1 Stuart was an American light tank, which the French deployed on a large scale during the war in Indochina at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s. In the terrain there it carried out the tasks of reconnaissance and infantry support. The vehicles carried French tactical numbers, names and unit markings, by which they differed from their American originals. Distinguishing the early and the late turret makes it possible to match the markings exactly to the particular build variant of a model.
Apply the decals onto a gloss varnish base, cut the motif out, soak it briefly and slide it into place. A softening solution will help a decal flow around the edges of the turret; a final matte varnish will unify the markings with the surrounding paint and protect them.
The product is a set of decals. The model of the tank, the paints and the softening solutions are not included in the package.
