Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of late Roman cavalry in 1:72 scale. It rounds out the infantry of the same line with an arm whose weight in the late Roman army grew considerably. Cavalry sets tend to hold fewer pieces than infantry ones, because every figure consists of a rider and a horse. The material is soft plastic, on which ordinary cement for polystyrene will not hold and neither will paint without preparation.
In the late Roman army the cavalry gained far greater importance than in the early empire. The reason was practical: against mobile opponents on the frontiers an army was needed that could move quickly to wherever it happened to be required. The medium cavalry was a general-purpose arm equipped with a spear and a sword, with lighter armor than the armored cavalry, and it could fight in a head-on clash as well as in pursuit.
Wash the figures first in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the rider separately and seat him on the horse only at the end. It pays to paint the shields on their own and add the unit devices to them.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
