This is a resin accessory set of the Reskit brand in 1:72 scale, intended for a kit of the F-35 Lightning II machine from the manufacturer Lockheed Martin. It is not an airplane model but parts with which a model is completed or with which shape-simplified parts of a plastic kit are replaced. The name of the product does not state the particular part; check it on the box of the set.
The set is intended jointly for the F-35A and F-35C versions. That makes technical sense: both versions use the same powerplant arrangement with a single jet engine and no lift fan, and therefore they share a number of parts that differ on the F-35B variant with short takeoff and vertical landing. The difference between the A and the C lies elsewhere: the C is a carrier machine with larger lifting surfaces and strengthened landing gear for catapult launches.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent so that no mold release agent is left on them. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw, true the face by sanding wet and protect your airways. They are bonded with super glue; cement for plastic does not work here. Always try the fit dry first. On the Lightning the painting is the key: the low-reflectance surface treatment is subtly shaded and looks best on a model when you work with thin coats and build up the differences in shade gradually, not in a single pass.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
