An injection-molded plastic kit of a medieval castle in 1:72 scale from MiniArt. It is a building rather than a vehicle or an aircraft: from it you assemble the walls, towers and gates typical of Western European fortress architecture of the High Middle Ages. The model is built and painted; it does not come finished.
Stone castles with battlements, bastions and portcullises were the backbone of defense and of seats of power from the 12th to the 15th century. Their robust masonry, wall walks and towers still stand for the Middle Ages today and make a rewarding setting for historical scenes.
Join the large pieces carefully so that the corners meet and the walls stand upright; glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. Stone masonry comes out well with the joints picked out by a wash and with a dry brush on the edges, completed with pigments for moss, dust and weathered surfaces. The castle can be extended, combined with terrain and figures and used as a backdrop for knights and for later eras alike.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
