AML Messerschmitt Bf 109E-0 (W.Nr.1783) 1:72 is a resin conversion set with which you build the pre-production E-0 version out of a plastic Bf 109E model. It is not a kit in its own right but an accessory for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker AML serves for building one particular pre-production version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-0 fighter, with the works number W.Nr.1783. It contains resin castings with which you rework a basic plastic Bf 109E model into this specific variant. The set is intended as an accessory to plastic Bf 109E models in 1:72 scale from other makers; the model of the airplane itself is not included in the package.
The Bf 109E-0 was the pre-production version of the famous German single-seat fighter of the late 1930s, powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine. The machines of this zero series served to prove the design before large-scale production of the E-1 and E-3 versions began, and they carried a number of details that set them apart from the later production Emils.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do any sanding of resin with respiratory protection. Before clear-coating it pays to spray the surface with a primer, which evens the plastic out with the resin.
A conversion set is only an accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
