This set from the Ukrainian brand Reskit brings precisely cast resin wheels for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F and early G versions in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft but a detail accessory replacing the wheels of the base kit. The Type 1 version refers to a particular type of hub and tire tread; the tires have the bulge under the weight of the machine suggested.
The castings capture the tread and the texture of the hub faithfully and are designed as a direct replacement for the plastic wheels of the matching version. The distinction between Type 1 and Type 2 helps to hit the right variant of the main wheel for a given subject.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use a primer before painting; both the tire and the hub airbrush well and take pigment weathering.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
