This is an interior 3D decal for the French two-seat Dassault Mirage 2000B trainer from Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit or an airplane model but a three-dimensional color cockpit accessory intended for the plastic kits of the Modelsvit brand. The set does away with laborious painting and with photo-etched parts: both instrument panels, the side consoles and the seats are already colored and have a relief surface.
A 3D decal is made of layers of colored resin on a backing paper. Once released in water it behaves more like a pre-colored photo-etched part than like a classic decal: it has depth, faithful colors and a raised surface. The result is a realistic cockpit with no complicated shading, and on the two-seat version it covers the front and the rear cockpit.
Dip the piece briefly, release it from the paper and move it into place; to seat it firmly, use a little suitable glue. The surface can be unified with a matte varnish. Work in good light and with tweezers.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an airplane model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
