A cockpit in 1:72 scale is tiny but clearly visible through the canopy, and that is exactly where a plastic molding simplifies the most. A three-dimensional decal solves that elegantly: it carries a color print of the instruments as well as a raised relief, so that once applied the panel looks fully fitted out and you do not have to assemble tiny etched parts. This set covers the interior of the Mirage 2000 C fighter and, according to its name, is cut for the kits from the firm Dream Model.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine fighter with a delta wing which replaced older machines of the same family. The delta wing gives it high speed and a large internal volume for fuel, but at the same time it calls for electronic flight controls, without which the machine would be unstable. The C version is the basic fighter configuration intended for air defense, that is with armament oriented toward combat against airborne targets.
Follow the enclosed instructions, because the application procedure for three-dimensional decals differs from ordinary ones. Paint the base beforehand and let it dry thoroughly. Do not use softeners and setting solutions on the decal unless the instructions expressly recommend it, as they could damage the relief. Work under a magnifier and with fine-tipped tweezers, and dry-fit the parts before gluing them. Leave the interior matte, otherwise light will reflect in it under the canopy.
The set is supplied as an accessory for a model. The glue, the paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
