Figures of the crew of an MJ-1 munitions loader in 1:72 scale by Reskit. Three-dimensionally printed figures of airfield personnel, not a model of the vehicle itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains figures of the airfield personnel who work with the MJ-1 munitions loader, made by three-dimensional printing. It is not a vehicle model. These are figures that go next to the equipment on an airfield diorama to give the scene a sense of scale and of action: without people even a well-built airfield looks like a display stand. Three-dimensional printing on figures in such a small scale means noticeably finer rendering of the folds of clothing and equipment than an injection mold can manage.
The MJ-1 is a low munitions loader with which bombs and rockets have been lifted under the wings and fuselages of aircraft on American airfields since the 1950s. A crew of two or three works with it: one drives and operates the lifting arm while the others guide and steady the load. It is exactly this scene that the set captures.
The set is for builders of airfield dioramas and for modelers who add a scene to a finished aircraft. Painting figures in this scale calls for practice and a fine brush.
It is not a model of a vehicle or of an aircraft. Paints, glue and equipment are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
