A plastic kit of the Japanese night fighter in 1:72 scale. It is a boxing by the Hobby 2000 brand built on a proven injection mold of Japanese origin, complemented by a decal sheet of its own. The package contains parts in gray and clear plastic, decals and instructions.
The J1N1 was a twin-engine machine of the Imperial Japanese Navy, originally intended as a long-range escort fighter and also used for reconnaissance. The J1N1-S version served as a night fighter: it received obliquely upward-firing cannon for attacking bombers from below. The type carried the nickname Gekko and was used in the second half of the war.
Glue the plastic with thin cement for plastic and clean up the joints of the fuselage and the nacelles carefully. Apply a primer before painting; spray the dark green upper surfaces and the light underside with an airbrush. A gloss coat under the decals will make them settle more easily, and a matte coat at the end will unify the surface. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
