Responsibility details are not available.
This set in 1:72 scale contains four guns and twenty-four crew figures in six poses, that is, six men to a gun. From a single box you can build a whole battery without having to buy further packages. A limber and a horse team are not included; the set depicts a gun in its firing position. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Kingdom of Bavaria was one of the German states of the Confederation of the Rhine and its army fought alongside France in a series of campaigns, including the Russian one of 1812, from which only a fraction of the men returned. The artillery had a good reputation and did its share of the work at Wagram and in the defense against the Austrian advance. The recognizable mark of a Bavarian soldier was a helmet with a wavy crest, the so-called Raupenhelm, and a light blue coat, with dark facings in the case of the artillery.
The wheels have fine spokes, so separate them with a sharp knife and a little at a time. The light blue coat needs a light base, otherwise it stays muddy; build the blue up in thin layers. The wooden parts of the carriages are brought to life by a thin glaze drawn into the joints. Arrange the crews around the gun in natural roles and unify the bases with a single tone.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
