A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale with figures of British light infantry of the Napoleonic era. It is supplied unpainted. The manufacturer does not state the number of pieces, so check it on the packaging.
After the experience of America and Spain, the British light infantry was trained for independent action: a soldier was expected to shoot an aimed shot, take cover in the terrain and act without orders, which was not usual in the armies of the day. Every infantry regiment had light companies, and alongside them whole light regiments existed. The recognizable marks were a shako with a short plume, a shorter coat and a bugle call instead of a drum. In Spain it was the light infantry that bore the main weight of the fighting out in front.
British red needs more coats over a light base, otherwise it stays muddy. Leave the dark green facings and trim for last, so that they are clean. Do the straps in white right at the end with a fine brush and in two passes, so that the red does not show through. Work the faces up, because in a small scale they carry the whole expression.
The figures are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
