The command group of the French Napoleonic army in 1:72 scale from HäT. Unpainted figures of officers and staff.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted plastic figures of the French command group of the Napoleonic period in 1:72 scale. Command figures are indispensable in a diorama as well as on the gaming table: they give a scene a focus to build the composition around, and in battle games they often serve a role in the rules too.
The French army of the Napoleonic period had a developed staff service and commanders were unmissable on a battlefield: they wore richly decorated uniforms, prominent hats and sashes, and aides and messengers rode around them. That conspicuousness is exactly what suits a modeler, because a command group stands out in color from the rank and file infantry.
The figures are of soft plastic, on which an ordinary primer holds poorly. Wash them in warm soapy water, let them dry completely and use a flexible primer or acrylic paint in thin coats. Bent parts can be straightened by a brief dip in hot water and setting them in cold. At the end a flat clear coat is recommended, which will reduce rubbing during handling.
The figures are supplied unpainted and may need a little assembly. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
