HäT 8006 Russian Cossacks is a 1:72 mounted set with twelve figures in four poses and with spare headdresses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A mounted set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale with twelve figures in four poses. The Cossacks have fur caps, and the package also holds spare headdresses of a different shape, so the figures can easily be converted into another type of horseman. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled.
The Cossack regiments were irregular cavalry deployed in the Russian army for reconnaissance, for harassing the enemy and for pursuit. They could not stand up to a close cavalry charge, but they managed what the regular regiments could not: moving for a long time and far from their base, raiding columns and supply trains and giving the enemy no rest. It was through this way of fighting that the Cossacks contributed most to the collapse of the French army during the retreat from Russia in 1812.
Seat the riders only once the horse is painted, otherwise you cannot reach between the leg and the flank. Do the fur cap with a dark base and a dry brush in a lighter tone on the edges, which gives it texture. Do not mix the horses into a single color. Put the spare headdresses aside; they come in useful for conversions and on other sets too.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
