Kagero 1:72 P-39 Airacobra, Pacific Theatre is a decal set with markings for Bell P-39 Airacobra machines committed to action in the Pacific.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit and not a publication but a decal set. Besides its books, Kagero also issues separate decal sheets; this one is intended for aircraft models in 1:72 scale. The set adds to a model of the Airacobra the markings of machines committed to action in the Pacific theater, that is schemes that a basic kit mostly does not offer.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American single-engine fighter with an unusual layout: the engine was set behind the pilot in the middle of the fuselage and the machine had nosewheel landing gear, which was not common at the time it appeared. In the Pacific it served chiefly in the first years of the war, when it carried out the tasks of a fighter and of an attack aircraft at low altitude.
Finish the model with paint and polish it with gloss varnish before the decals, or the edges of the film will go white. Release the decal in warm water, move it into place and draw off the excess water. On engravings and broken-up surfaces use a decal softener so that the decal follows the surface. Once it is perfectly dry, unify the surface with matte or semi-gloss varnish depending on the look wanted for the machine.
This is an accessory for a kit. The kit, paints and varnishes are not part of this item.
