A color 3D interior decal from Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale, meant for models of the P-47D Thunderbolt fighter with the bubbletop canopy. The raised, full-color details are printed from resin on backing decal paper and are transferred by the wet method. They are neither photo-etch nor resin castings.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the heaviest single-seat fighters of the Second World War. The late P-47D version with the bubbletop canopy offered the pilot markedly better all-round vision and became a favorite machine for escorting bombers and for attacks on ground targets.
Cut the part out of the sheet, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place with tweezers. It has no adhesive layer of its own; it holds on a gloss clear coat of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, with which you coat the instrument panel and the consoles beforehand; on intricate places a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, they will attack the printed resin.
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not the model itself. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
