The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is an American light high-wing aircraft with fixed landing gear, which came about by developing the earlier Piper Cub type and was built from the end of the 1940s. Thanks to its low landing speed, good takeoff qualities and simple structure it became a popular machine for training, glider towing, crop spraying, patrolling and operations from short and unpaved strips. In military service it flew under designations derived from this family.
A smaller model in 1:72 scale will reward careful cleaning of the parting lines and a thin plastic cement. Paint and fit the cabin with its ample glazing before you close the fuselage up; glue the clear parts with a canopy glue and mask them before spraying. Apply the base over primer in thin coats; single-color as well as bolder schemes come out best with a gloss coat under the decals.
