Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains eighteen figures, fifteen of them riders and three on foot, and horses to go with them. The riders can be given a choice of weapons: the long kontos lance, a sword or two types of mace. The figures are unpainted and the rider has to be seated in the saddle.
Parthian cataphracts were armored riders whose armor covered the man and the horse alike, usually with a scale or lamellar cuirass. The main weapon was the long kontos lance, which the rider held in both hands and drove against a close-order formation on foot. Together with the light mounted archers they formed a pair against which the Roman legion at Carrhae in 53 BC was helpless: the archers kept it under fire and the cataphracts broke up every attempt at a counterattack.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Choose the weapon in advance and divide the riders so that the kontos predominates in the unit. Handle the scale armor of the rider and the horse with a dark base and a dry brush in a metal shade. The kontos is thin and long, so glue it on at the very end and support it with the rider's palm. Saddle cloths and standards in a strong color will bring the whole formation to life.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
