HäT 1:72 Persian Heavy Cavalry is a set of twelve heavy Persian riders, the opponents of Alexander's army.
Responsibility details are not available.
Plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package consists of thirty parts: twelve riders in four poses and twelve horses in two poses. The figures are unpainted and unglued. The set is the counterweight to the Macedonian and Greek mounted formations from the same maker and makes it possible to build both sides of an engagement.
The heavy cavalry of Achaemenid Persia was among the elite of the imperial army. The riders wore scale or lamellar armor, fought with spear and axe, and their horses were partly protected by chest armor. At the battles of the Granicus, Issus and Gaugamela they formed the main striking force of the Persian wings, and at the Granicus they clashed directly with Alexander's own companions.
Before painting, wash the figures, dry them and spray them with a flexible primer, otherwise the paint cracks on soft plastic. Scale armor is best brought out with a dark base and a dry brush in a metal shade, which catches on the edges of the plates. Persian clothing will take rich color, especially red, yellow and turquoise, unlike the restrained Greek sets. Once finished, seat the riders in the saddle with cyanoacrylate glue.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
