An injection-molded plastic kit of the Swiss single-engine Pilatus PC-12NG airplane in 1:72 scale from the maker Amodel. It is a short-run kit: the package normally holds plastic sprues, clear parts, decals, photo-etched parts and a mask for the glazing. Short-run technology means coarser sprue gates and the need for more careful cleaning up of the parts.
The Pilatus PC-12 is a Swiss single-engine turboprop airplane for carrying passengers and cargo, well liked for its range, its economy and its ability to operate from shorter and unpaved runways. The NG (Next Generation) version brought more modern avionics and a more powerful powerplant. The machine serves with companies, flying clubs and state services all over the world.
With a short-run kit, count on extra work: clean up the sprue gates, dress the mold seams and try the parts dry before you glue them. Bond the plastic with liquid cement and the photo-etch with super glue. Protect the glazing with the mask supplied. Civil white and light schemes are demanding on the cleanliness of the surface, so apply a primer and paint with an airbrush in thin coats.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
