About product

Pilot's seat with belts I.A.R. 80/81C - the late armored version (1:72, IBG)

An accessory 3D-printed resin set, not a kit. It brings the pilot's seat with printed belts in the late, armored form introduced from mid 1943. The seat is printed in one piece together with the buckles of the belts.

The real subject

The I.A.R. 80/81C were Romanian fighters of domestic design from the period of the Second World War. On the later batches the pilot's space received armor to protect him from fire from behind.

Use and tips

  • Separate the seat from the print supports and wash the print resin residue off it.
  • Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
  • Set the armor plate and the belts apart in color.
  • Wear respiratory protection while sanding.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the late version of the I.A.R. 80/81C in 1:72.
  • Modelers who want an armored seat with the belts already done.
  • Anyone interested in superdetailing a cockpit.

The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
