An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Renault FT in the 75 BS version in 1:72 scale. According to the maker this is a package with two sets of parts in it, so you build two vehicles out of one box. A small photo-etched part is included as well. For such a small vehicle the extent is pleasantly modest, so the build takes no more than one evening.
The Renault FT was the first production tank with a rotating turret and it became the model for all the generations that followed. The 75 BS version had no turret: in its place it carried a fixed superstructure with a short howitzer of 75 mm caliber, intended for destroying fortified positions and machine gun nests. So it was a support vehicle, meant to accompany the ordinary FT with a machine gun or with a gun of 37 mm caliber.
The parts are small, so separate them with nippers only just before gluing and work over a tray with a raised edge. Use a liquid cement for plastic applied with a small brush. Paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the sides of the superstructure up. Spray the French multicolor camouflage with an airbrush and leave the divisions between the fields soft. At the end work dust pigments into the lower part of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
