The Thunderchief from the production of Republic was a massive single-seat fighter bomber, the largest single-engine combat aircraft of its day. It carried ordnance in a bomb bay and under the wings and became famous as the main strike type over North Vietnam. The two-seat versions then came about for the task of suppressing air defenses, where a second crew member with special equipment joined the pilot.
On a figure of this size it pays to work from the darkest tone to the lightest. First lay a dark base into all the folds, then move on to the open areas and finally bring out the edges only lightly.
