Zvezda Roman Auxiliary Infantry (1:72) is a large plastic figure set of Roman auxiliary infantry to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
This large plastic figure set from Zvezda in 1:72 scale presents Roman auxiliary infantry (the auxilia). It contains many figures in several combat and marching poses, so that a whole infantry formation can be built. It is a plastic kit meant to be assembled and painted, ideal for large battle scenes and for wargaming.
The auxilia were the auxiliary corps of the Roman army, made up of non-citizens from the provinces, who complemented the heavy legionary infantry. Armed with an oval shield, a spear and a sword, they carried out tasks on the flanks, in the vanguard and in difficult terrain. After serving for a number of years the auxiliaries received Roman citizenship. The set matches the appearance of these units from roughly the 1st century BC to the 2nd century AD.
Cut the small parts away carefully and clean up the parting lines; glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Work the mail armor and the helmets in metallic shades with a silver dry brush, and treat the tunics in natural tones. The shields can be brought to life with period emblems. A primer makes the later painting with glazes and a wash easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
