Roman Infantry 1st-2nd Century B.C. 1:72 from Italeri is a set with many small plastic figures of Roman republican infantry for dioramas and wargaming.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a large number of small unglued and unpainted plastic figures of Roman infantry from the 2nd and 1st centuries BC in 1:72 scale. It is a typical set of historical figures from the Italian manufacturer Italeri, suitable both as an addition to dioramas and as a unit for tabletop wargames.
The figures depict legionaries of the late Roman Republic. The soldiers carry the characteristic equipment of the period: mail armor with shoulder doubling, oval or semi-oval shields, the pilum throwing spear, the short gladius sword and the pugio dagger. Several poses are joined by a command figure and a mounted figure.
The figures are separated from the sprues with nippers and need very little gluing; super glue will hold the small joints. For painting, thinned acrylics applied in layers work well, together with dry-brushing to bring out the edges and a dark wash in the folds of cloth and armor, which emphasizes the detail.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
