Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains forty-five figures in eight poses, divided onto five sprues of nine pieces each. The shields are molded separately, so you can paint them on their own and glue them on at the end. The figures are unpainted and complement the sets of Roman auxiliary infantry and cavalry from the same maker.
A legionary of the imperial period wore segmented armor of metal strips joined by leather straps, which in this period replaced the older mail shirt. The weapons were the short gladius sword and the heavy pilum throwing spear, and protection came from the large rectangular scutum shield with rounded edges. It is precisely this image of the legionary, known from Trajan's Column, that remains among the most widespread notions of the Roman army.
Wash the figures, dry them and spray them with a flexible primer. Segmented armor is best captured with a dark base and a dry brush in a steel shade, which brings out the edges of the strips. Paint the shields on the sprue; two or three strokes are enough to suggest the legion's device. The crests on the helmets can be cut off as you please, since for a rank-and-file legionary in the field they are less usual than for a parade.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
