Trumpeter 1:72 KV-1 M1941 KV Small Turret is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy tank of the early Second World War in the form with the smaller welded turret.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter represents the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank in the 1941 version with the smaller welded turret (hence the nickname Small Turret) in 1:72 scale. The model has a broken-up upper armor, finely worked running gear, an elevating barrel for the 76.2 mm gun and decals with Soviet markings. It is a separate variant, different from the later versions with the cast turret.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank that at the start of the German attack on the Soviet Union in 1941 belonged among the best armored vehicles on the battlefield and was hard to destroy with the anti-tank means of the day. The 1941 form with the smaller welded turret carried a gun of 76.2 mm caliber and was committed in the opening phase of the fighting on the Eastern Front. Its heavy armor was offset by lower mobility and demanding maintenance.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull. You will bring the single-color Soviet finish to life by shading the surfaces, with a wash into the recesses and with dust effects from pigments. A colored primer for plastic and an airbrush are suitable.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
