Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from HäT. The box holds twelve riders in four poses and horses in two poses. The figures are unpainted and the riders have to be seated in the saddle. The clibanarii form the striking element of a Sassanid force and round out the light cavalry and the infantry of the same range.
The clibanarii were the armored riders of the Sassanid empire, on whom armor covered the man from head to foot and often the horse as well. The name comes from the Greek word for an oven, which says something about what riding in such equipment was like in the summer heat. The main weapon was a long lance that the rider handled with both hands. It was this cavalry that was the hardest opponent for the Roman and Byzantine armies on the eastern frontier.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. The armor of rider and horse is the main motif of the set: a dark base and a dry brush with a steel or bronze shade will pick every plate out. Leave the colored caparisons and pennons for the end, or the whole formation would be nothing but metal. Glue the lance on at the very end and support it in the rider's hand.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
