1:72 Scots Infantry Napoleonic Wars

Scots Infantry – Napoleonic Wars, 1:72 scale, Italeri

A plastic set of unassembled and unpainted figures of Scottish infantry from the Napoleonic Wars, in 1:72 scale. This is an injection-molded plastic figure set suitable for building, painting and diorama work. Italeri is a well-established Italian maker of plastic models and figures.

The real subject

The Scottish foot regiments, the Highlanders, were among the famous units of the British army of the Napoleonic era and distinguished themselves at Waterloo. Their hallmarks were the tartan kilt and the feather bonnet. The figures capture infantrymen firing, attacking and marching.

Building and painting tips

• Cut the figures from the sprue and clean up the mold seams.
• Use a suitable cement or super glue on the softer plastic; apply a primer before painting.
• Paint with acrylics — a base coat, shadows in the folds and a dry brush on the edges.
• Paint the tartan of the kilts patiently, layer by layer with a fine brush; build the red coats up gradually.

Who the set is for

• For modelers and diorama builders working on the Napoleonic Wars.
• For wargamers playing this era in 1:72 scale.
• For collectors of historical figures.

The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
