Eduard 1:72 CH-54A Tarhe — Zoom (for ICM) is a set of pre-painted photo-etched parts for the cockpit of the helicopter. It is not a model but an accessory for the kit from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set from the Czech maker Eduard (Obrnice near Most), who ranks among the leaders of the world aftermarket. Note: it is not a model of the helicopter but a part for one specific kit — the set is tuned for the plastic CH-54A Tarhe kit in 1:72 scale from ICM. The Zoom line holds selected color (pre-painted) photo-etched parts aimed at the pilot's cockpit, typically the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat belts. The aim is a quick and striking increase in detail.
Eduard makes a Space set for the same kit as well. Zoom is the simpler choice: flat pre-painted photo-etched parts. Space goes further and adds a three-dimensional 3D-printed instrument panel with depth and steel (metal) belts for the utmost realism of the cockpit. When you want to liven the interior up quickly, take Zoom; when you are building the cockpit as a shop window, consider Space.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do not paint over the pre-painted surfaces — the colors and the lettering are printed on already. Bend the small parts over a metal edge or in a photo-etch bender.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The base CH-54A kit, glue and tools are not included in the package.
