Special Hobby 1:72 SMB-2 Super Mystère, The First French Supersonic is a plastic kit of the first French supersonic fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the French Dassault SMB-2 Super Mystère jet fighter in 1:72 scale. The set contains parts for both engine variants and a resin ejection seat for the Honduran machine. The decal sheet offers French as well as Honduran markings.
The SMB-2 Super Mystère was the first production fighter built in Western Europe to pass the speed of sound in level flight. Until the arrival of the Mirage III it remained the highest performing French fighter. The machines were exported successfully, and when they finished their service in France, some of them went on to Honduras.
This is a kit of short-run character, so expect careful cleaning up of the parts and dry test fitting. Glue the plastic with modeling cement and the resin seat with cyanoacrylate glue. Metal surfaces and natural aluminum come out best sprayed with metallic shades from an airbrush; mask the cockpit glazing before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
