A simplified snap-fit set of the Soviet 76 mm infantry gun (the 76.2 mm regimental gun) with its crew in 1:72 scale from Zvezda, from the Art of Tactic line. The box contains the gun itself and a pair of crew figures, and the parts fit together without glue. It usually includes a base with a flag and a unit card for the Art of Tactic tabletop game. It is an artillery item suitable for completing infantry and dioramas as well as for tabletop battles.
The Soviet 76.2 mm regimental gun was designed for direct fire support of the infantry and became one of the first mass-produced heavier weapons of Soviet manufacture. It was built from the end of the 1920s and was used in a number of prewar conflicts as well as in the Second World War. Thanks to the large number of pieces built it was part of the ordinary armament of infantry units.
You can assemble the gun and the figures without glue, and you can strengthen the joints with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the gun in a basic green shade and tune the uniforms of the crew to a period reference. The faces and the detail will stand out with a dry brush and a dark wash, and fine dust pigments suit the carriage. Even small figures in this scale come alive when the folds of the clothing are brought out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
