This injection-molded plastic kit represents the Soviet fighter of the Second World War Yakovlev Yak-3. The model in 1:72 scale belongs to a range of easy-build kits with a lower parts count, so it is manageable for beginning modelers or as a quick build for a single evening. In the box there is a decal sheet with a choice of color scheme.
The Yakovlev Yak-3 was a light and agile Soviet fighter introduced in the second half of the Second World War. It stood out for its excellent handling at low and medium altitudes and became one of the most feared dogfighters of its time. Its simple, effective design made it a favorite machine of Soviet pilots.
Paint the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Protect the glazing by masking it and glue it carefully. The lower parts count makes quick assembly easier; all the more attention should go to cleaning up the seams and to a smooth spray. The Soviet colors come alive with a fine wash in the panel lines and light weathering of the lower fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
