An injection-molded plastic kit of the German assault gun StuG III Ausf. G in the late production version from the MIAG factory, in the smaller 1:72 scale from MiniArt. Even in this more compact scale the set offers fine detail and an interior. It allows several camouflage and marking options. Check the exact number of parts and the schemes against the instructions.
The Sturmgeschütz III, StuG III for short, was the most widespread German assault gun of the Second World War. The Ausf. G version was the most numerous and was built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. Its low silhouette without a rotating turret made it a difficult target and at the same time an effective weapon against tanks and infantry. The late machines from MIAG production brought the manufacturing changes of the final phase of the war.
In 1:72 scale the parts are tiny – work with a sharp knife and tweezers and glue with thin cement for plastic. Assemble the running gear and the lower hull before you close the hull up. Apply a primer and spray the paint with an airbrush at low pressure. Late assault guns wore a three-tone camouflage (dark yellow, green, brown). A wash in the recesses, fine pigments on the running gear and discreet dry-brushing give depth even to a small model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
