This is a 3D-printed resin detail set from IBG models, not a kit. The set contains replacement exhausts of the Supermarine Spitfire in 1:72 scale made in the fishtail pattern with gun heating pipes – that is with the additional ducting that carried heat from the engine to the armament in the wings.
It replaces the plastic exhausts from the box with more faithful resin parts. Compared with the basic fishtail variant it also contains the gun heating pipes, which matches a particular fit of the aircraft and raises the fidelity of the engine section.
Separate the parts from the print supports, clean them and degrease them. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The exhausts come out well in shades of rust and burnt steel, and the heating pipes can be shaded to match what they sit against. Fit them at the end of the build.
This is a detail set, not an aircraft model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
