Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the German Tiger I heavy tank in the early production version, in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The set is designed as a snap-fit kit (the parts join without glue), it has one-piece flexible tracks, a rotating turret and an elevating barrel. The parts can be glued for a firmer joint and the model can be fully painted and weathered.
The Tiger I was one of the best-known tanks of the Second World War. Armed with a mighty 88 mm gun and protected by thick armor, it commanded respect from the moment it was committed in 1942. The early version had the characteristic features of the first production batches, among them a different arrangement on the hull and turret compared with later machines. The tank was a feared opponent, yet at the same time demanding to build and to maintain, and it was produced in relatively small numbers; even so it decisively shaped the reputation of the German armored forces.
Paint the running gear before closing the hull; we recommend securing the snap-fit joints with a drop of glue for a more durable result. Complement the Dunkelgelb base with a camouflage pattern, pick out the panels and rivets with a wash, and create mud and dust effects on the running gear with pigments. The one-piece flexible tracks make painting the running gear easier and can conveniently be painted and rusted separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
