Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear – matte clear varnish in a spray can (100 ml)

A matte transparent covering varnish from the Tamiya TS range. It is a synthetic varnish in a spray can with a volume of 100 ml that is used as a final layer to flatten a glossy or semi-gloss surface. It unifies the final look of a model into a uniform matte appearance and softens the transitions between paints and decals. The can is ready for immediate use, without thinning.

Use

• Applied as a final matte layer over dried paint and decals.
• Spray in thin, even coats from a distance – that avoids running and whitening.
• Suitable for larger areas; a synthetic varnish dries fairly quickly.
• Let the paint and the decals underneath cure well before applying it, so that the varnish does not cause cracking.
• Details can be finished after flattening with enamel or acrylic paints.

A solvent-based varnish – flammable. Use outdoors or in a well ventilated space, with a respirator and away from open flame. Test it on a hidden area because of any reaction with the paint underneath.
