Responsibility details are not available.
The TSR-2 was a British strike and reconnaissance aircraft of the first half of the 1960s. It was designed for very fast flight at low altitude with a heavy load, but the development grew more expensive, the program was canceled in 1965 and the machine never reached squadron service; only the prototype flew. On a model the landing gear is one of the most conspicuous parts, because on a finished machine it is permanently visible and carries its whole weight.
An add-on landing gear set for a model in 1:72 scale. It replaces the landing gear parts of the kit with a version of finer detail, which tells on the leg as well as in the bay, into which a displayed model is seen from below. The set is prepared for the kit marked with the abbreviation AIR. Before gluing, dry fit the parts to the model you are building and check their length and their rake, so that the model stands level.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry; on a degreased surface both paint and glue hold far better. Cut the excess material and production marks off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; with add-on sets cyanoacrylate has proved itself. Glue the legs according to the instructions on a flat surface so that the model sits down on all wheels at once, and let the joint cure completely before you stand the model on its gear. Paint the bays and the inner sides of the doors before you close or glue them.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
